T-Mobile Posts Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Status for HTC One M7, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Edge

Back in October 2014, Google officially announced Android 5.0 Lollipop and as of November 2014, the new software update is being pushed to various devices. As usual, the Nexus smartphones and tablets were first, followed by the Google Play Edition devices, and by Motorola’s flagships. The unlocked models are usually the first in line to receive new software updates, with the carrier-locked variants trailing behind.
The US-based carriers are working around the clock to bring the Lollipop update to their supported devices and many of the said devices already got updated to Android 5.0. In the meantime, the folks at T-Mobile have posted a support page to help customers track the status of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013), HTC One M7, HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, and Samsung Galaxy S5. Here’s the page if you want to take a peek.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 2013 is listed as completed. This means that the software update has been approved to launch and that is now rolling out to users.
The status for the HTC One M7 Android 5.0 Lollipop is labeled as “T-Mobile testing,” meaning that the software update has been released by the OEM to the carrier and that T-Mobile’s engineers are still testing it to see whether it’s ready for prime-time. On the other hand, the HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop update is labeled as “Completed” since it has already been pushed to users.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for both Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge is still under “Manufacturer Development,” as Samsung is still working on the update and hasn’t offered it to T-Mobile for the final tests. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lollipop update is in the “T-Mobile Testing” phases (which means that the roll out is imminent), while the Galaxy S5 is the only Samsung smartphone carried by T-Mobile that received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
I remind you that, just like any software updates, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be released by T-Mobile in stages, meaning that not all customers will get it in the same time. Usually, when your device is ready to receive the OTA update, you should see a system update notification popping out. Just tap on it and follow the on-screen instructions. You can also perform a manual check on Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for updates (may vary with device).
As you may already know, you are dealing with a major software update, so expect lots of changes and improvements. The most notable change is the new Material Design philosophy which relies on realistic 3D effects and shadows and vivid colors to improve the user experience system-wide. The update also brings performance boosts, support for 64-bit processors, and ART (Android Runtime) instead of Dalvik.
The Overview menu is now called Recent and it has a card-based interface with document-centric multitasking, so select apps can show more than one card in the Recent menu. The update also brings a redesigned notifications bar and better-organized Quick Settings with new toggles for Flashlight and Screen Cast. You will also be able to easily find specific settings sections, courtesy of the new search bar within the Settings app.
One of the most appreciated features of Android 5.0 Lollipop is the support for Lock Screen notifications. You can even select the priority and privacy level for each app that shows notifications in the lock screen, or even block apps from showing lock screen notifications. You might also like the multi-user accounts for phones and the new Screen Pinning. Lollipop also introduced Smart Lock, a feature that can remove any layer of lock screen security when you are in a Trusted Place or connected to a Trusted Device.
Lollipop also boasts about better battery statistics and the new Battery Saver Mode. It now shows how much time do you have left until the battery is fully charged (when the device is plugged in) or how long it’s left until you have to recharge it again. Battery Saver Mode can be automatically turned on when the battery level reaches 15% or 5%.

T-Mobile Galaxy S5 now Receiving OTA Android 5.0 Lollipop Update

T-Mobile is now offering the OTA Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Galaxy S5 devices. So, if you own a T-Mobile branded Samsung Galaxy S5, now you can start checking for the Lollipop notification. The firmware should be spotted automatically on your phone – just slide down the notification panel as the OTA should be displayed there.
However, since we are talking about an official release, the T-Mobile Android 5.0 Lollipop OS will be rolled out gradually, or in phases. This means that not all the Galaxy S5 users will receive the OTA at the same time. If the notification isn’t yet displayed on your phone, you can manually search for the same by going to “menu – settings – about phone – software version – check for software updates”.
The firmware is dubbed as UVU1DOB1 and it is coming as a 900 MB package – make sure you enable a Wi-Fi connection during the download and update procedure. The Lollipop update can be applied automatically; downloaded via Samsung KIES or manually installed through Odin (we will bring a proper tutorial so stay close).
Android 5.0 Lollipop for T-Mobile Galaxy S5 comes as a stable and smooth update that brings everything that’s new on the Android platform: material Design-inspired UI, lockscreen notifications, improved performance and battery life along many other features and apps.
Do note that you can receive the OTA update only if your phone is not rooted and only if your device is running on stock Android OS – else, you will have to flash the UVU1DOB1 software manually by using Odin (just download the firmware from SamMobile and flash it on your device through the mentioned program).

HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Available now for T-Mobile Users

The HTC One M8 on T-Mobile is currently in the process of receiving the official Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA Update. Check the phone’s notification screen and confirm the download of all these new firmware files.
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop build for the HTC One M8 is rolling out in phases, so you shouldn’t expect the OTA Update notification to pop-up right now. All the T-Mobile One M8 users should get the new firmware update before the end of this month for as long as they are running stock Android 4.4 KitKat on their devices. No One M8 smartphone is going to get the new Lollipop firmware files in case it is running a customized operating system instead of the stock Android builds released by either HTC or T-Mobile.
Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA Update for T-Mobile HTC One M8 comes with the brand new Material Design interface, improved Sense environment, new lock screen notifications control, Priority Mode, improved Notification menu with Intelligent notifications ranking, Recent multi-tasking feature, Settings search function added, Device Sharing capabilities, new Guest User support, Battery Power Saver Lollipop native function, full support for Android Runtime (ART) instead of the old Dalvik  and more. This new Android 5.0 build is probably one of the best operating system updates ever released for smartphones.
If you own an HTC One M8 and you’re on T-Mobile, then you should expect the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA Update to arrive and use a Wi-Fi connection in order to complete the download process. The download size of this new firmware is set at 632.7 MB.
The update is rolled out in phases, so it won’t reach all T-Mobile HTC One M8 users at the same time, so you can go to Settings and use the System Updates menu to look for new Lollipop 5.0 updating files.

HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update for T-Mobile to Launch February 9

Is there a T-Mobile HTC One M8 somewhere around you? If the answer is yes, then you should keep an eye on the notifications bar. Well, not right away, but as of Monday when the HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop update will start rolling out.
The announcement was made on Twitter by HTC’s VP of Product Management Mo Versi. On Friday, he tweeted that they have received the Lollipop OS Technical Approval for T-Mobile One M8 and that the OTA should start rolling out on Monday.
I remind you that Lollipop is the most major update Android has received so far. It’s even bigger than the jump from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich. Android 5.0 arrives with a new interface called Material Design, multi-user support for phones, lock screen notifications, performance boosts, improved security, Android Runtime (ART), better battery statistics, redesigned notifications bar and quick settings, dynamic status bar, revamped recent menu, Screen Pinning, Smart Lock, and more. The Sense 6.0 UI in the One M8 Lollipop update was tweaked to follow the Material Design guidelines.
As any software update, the HTC One M8 Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be pushed to users in waves, meaning that some customers will have to wait longer than others. As soon as your smartphone becomes eligible to receive the new firmware, you should be able to notice a system update message in the notifications bar. Tap on it and follow the on-screen instructions. In case the system update notification failed to appear you should also check for Lollipop manually under Settings > About phone > Software update > Check now.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update Now Available for T-Mobile Users

If you purchased a Galaxy Tab 3 from T-Mobile then you should keep an eye on the notifications panel. According to the Magenta carrier, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is now being pushed to users.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat software update is rolled out over-the-air and, as usual, the roll out is being made in phases. This basically means that some users will not be able to download and install the new firmware right away. I remind you that as soon as your tablet becomes eligible to receive the new update, you should be able to notice a system update message in the notifications bar. Tap on it, choose ‘Download now’, wait until the download is completed, and then press ‘Install now.’ Your tablet should reboot and install the new firmware. If the system update notification failed to appear, you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for software updates.
The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 was still running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, so the update to Android 4.4.4 KitKat is quite major. You should expect the KitKat-specific goodies such as transparent status and nav bars, white status bar icons, cloud printing, immersive mode, color emoji support, new Location menu and full screen album and movie art in the lock screen, along with Samsung-specific updates such as enhanced Samsung Keyboard, KNOX, and more.
According to the support page on T-Mobile’s website, the new Android 4.4.4 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will update your baseband to version T217TUVUBNL1. They also mentioned that the update file has a size of 537 MB, so it’s recommended to download it using a Wi-Fi connection in order to avoid damaging your data plan.

New Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 Update Now Rolling out for T-Mobile Users

If you happen to own a T-Mobile Galaxy S4, you would want to keep an eye on the notifications panel. The Magenta carrier revealed on their support page that a new Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 update is now being pushed to the users.
Even though we are dealing with a minor update, I am pretty sure you would want your T-Mobile Galaxy S4 to run the latest Android software version. The roll out of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 begun December 8th and, as usual, the new firmware is being pushed to users in stages. This means that some of you might have to wait longer than others before being able to install the new update on their devices.
You may know already that once your Galaxy S4 becomes eligible to receive the new software update, you should receive a system update message in the notifications bar. All you need to do is tap on it, choose “Download now”, wait until the download is completed, then select “Install now”. Your device should reboot and install the new firmware. In case the software update notification failed to appear, you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About phone > Software update > Check for software updates. Alternatively, you can grab the USB cable and check for the update via KIES.
According to the changelog posted on T-Mobile’s support change, the new Android 4.4.4 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 comes to add support for Chinese language. The update has build number M919UVUFNK2 and even though the size is not mentioned anywhere, we are advising you to use a stable Wi-Fi network while downloading it. You know, just so you don’t damage your data plan.

New Samsung Galaxy Avant Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update Now Available at T-Mobile

If you are among the T-Mobile customers who purchased a Samsung Galaxy Avant, then you should get your device ready to receive a new software update. According to the carrier’s support page a new Samsung Galaxy Avant 4.4.2 OTA update is now being pushed to users.
Unfortunately, we aren’t looking at a major software update so don’t expect any changes in terms of interface. The new Android 4.4.2 OTA update for Samsung Galaxy Advance arrives to introduce Chinese language support. Even though the official changelog doesn’t mention anything else besides Chinese language, the new firmware probably patches some bugs too and brings slight performance improvements.
The Android 4.4.2 roll out for T-Mobile Galaxy Avant users begun December 8th, but, as usual, the update is being released in batches. This means that some users will have to wait longer than others before being able to update their smartphone. You probably know already that once your Avant becomes eligible to receive the new update you should be able to see a system update message in the notifications bar. All you need to do is tap on it then follow the on-screen instructions. You can also perform a manual check under Settings > About device > Software update > Check for software updates. Alternatively, you can grab the USB cable and check for the update via KIES.
The new Samsung Galaxy Avant Android 4.4.2 update is labeled G386TUVU1ANK3 and even though there’s no mentioning of its size we are recommending you to download it using a Wi-Fi network so you won’t damage your data plan. Also try to have the battery charged above 50%.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update Live Now from T-Mobile

The official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is being currently released for all the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE tablet device by T-Mobile. T337TUVU1BNK4 update is being released OTA and through Samsung KIES software.
This new update comes from Samsung and T-Mobile for the entire stock Galaxy tab 4 8.0 LTE devices. Check the notification panel of your device or use KIES to look for new firmware files. Android 4.4.4 KitKat brings the latest tweaks and bug fixes over the T337TUVU1BNI8 previous firmware.
The T337TUVU1BNK4 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update measures somewhere around 14.94 MB, so you can even use the mobile data plan in order to download it. After the new firmware arrives you only need to confirm the download and then your Galaxy Tab 4 LTE tablet will complete the entire process by itself.
Besides the ‘software stability’ there is no other change listed by T-Mobile in the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE Android 4.4.4 Update changelog. However, you can test it and then use the comments section to let us know in case you will find other major changes.
This build of Android 4.4.4 update will probably be the final one, as T-Mobile should start the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS integration for all premium Samsung tablets and smartphones. The release of Android 5.0 OTA Update for Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE should arrive sometime in early 2015, as currently Samsung has only updated their Galaxy s5 smartphone to Lollipop software. Up until the Android 5.0 update is rolling out you can test the latest KitKat features.
Make sure that before you confirm the installation of this new software update you will charge the tablet, so that it won’t power down during the flashing process. Also, if the OTA (over-the-air) update is not available, then you should use the Samsung KIES to complete the installation. Note that you can install official firmware update only if your device is currently sporting 100% stock Android 4.4.x firmware, as Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE devices that are running custom ROMs cannot be updated automatically using official channels.

Sony Mobile to Sacrifice Volume For Profits As It Struggles With Smartphone Business

Sony has had it tough in the smartphone business. The company decided to go solo in the smartphone network by acquiring Ericsson’s stake in Sony Ericsson in the year 2011 and renamed the company to Sony Mobile. Soon after the formation of the new company, Sony aimed to become the third largest smartphone vendor in the world. Unfortunately the goal was a bit too optimistic and the company has actually been finding it tough to maintain its sales in the past few quarters. To turn things around, the new Sony Mobile CEO Hiroki Totoki has decided that the company will shrink its smartphone portfolio in the coming year and target profit instead of chasing market share like it was doing so far.
The company is bracing itself for volumes in the smartphone business shrinking by as much as 30% in the near future. The aim going forward is to remain profitable and just maintain presence in the smartphone market instead of targeting market share or increasing unit sales of smartphones. Sony had already announced plans earlier this year of cutting down on its mid-range smartphone portfolio and focusing only on the high-end segment. In the coming year, the number of entry-level and mid-range Xperia models could be limited to just a few.
In its previous announcement, Sony revealed that the Xperia business was the main reason behind its losses and it was not expecting to make any profits from the mobile business this year and would be happy if it could get the business to break even this financial year. It has also lowered its full year smartphone sales forecast twice this year. As part of its turnaround plan the company will focus on the gaming and image sensor business to get the company back into profit.

Sony’s hopes of becoming the third largest smartphone OEM were never going to come true unless the company focused on the two key smartphone markets – China and USA. Sony has had limited presence in both markets. Sony did try launching a few exclusive Xperia handsets for the Chinese market but it couldn’t win much market share and has decided to move away from the Chinese market owing to the stiff competition there. As far as the US market goes, Sony has never had a good presence in the market and hasn’t been able to strike a deal with all the major US carriers. Its Xperia smartphones have so far been available only through AT&T and T-Mobile. The relationship with AT&T didn’t last long and while it continues to sell Xperia flagships through T-Mobile, which alone isn’t enough to make an impact in the American market as T-Mobile has the smallest market share among the major US carriers. The lack of extensive marketing has also been a factor behind the slowing sales of Xperia smartphones. Even though the company now spends a lot more on marketing its latest smartphones, initially Sony had ignored the need to properly market its smartphones to the global consumers.

New Android 4.4.2 Update for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 Now Available Over the air

T-Mobile announced today that a new software update is now being pushed to their own Samsung Galaxy S5 variant. If you happen to have one by your side, you should keep an eye on the notifications bar. The new update is still based on Android 4.4.2 and only brings minor changes.
The roll out for the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.2 update started November 24 and, as usual, we are dealing with a staged roll out. This means that some user might have to wait longer than others. Unfortunately, T-Mobiles website doesn’t reveal too many details about the new update, except for the fact that it brings Chinese language support.
The new Android 4.4.2 update for Samsung Galaxy S5 will update your baseband to version G900TUVU1CNK2 and you will be able to retrieve it over-the-air. If the OTA update fails to initiate (the system update notification doesn’t appear), you can also try a manual pull down (manually check for the update under Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates now. The new update is also rolled out via KIES so you can also plug in your device to the PC using the USB cable and use Samsung’s software to check for the update.
The update file shouldn’t be too large in size if you’re running a recent build, but, even so, it’s advisable to download it using a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid unwanted data charges. T-Mobile also notes that if you are coming from software version G900TUVU1BNH5 the update will have a size of around 33 MB, but if you are coming from G900TUVU1ANE6 the new update will have a size of about 140 MB.

Minor Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.4 KitKat OTA Update Pushed Out for T-Mobile Users

Starting today the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 smartphones will be getting a brand new firmware update that should bump their Android 4.4.4 version to N900TUVUDNK3. This new update is available OTA (over-the-air) and through Samsung KIES.
In Android 4.4.4 N900TUVUDNK3 KitKat you will find new Chinese Language Support and support for T-Mobile Free Inflight Texting a few that will also be pushed out later next month for the Galaxy Note 4. No other major changes have been reported in this release, you can check the changelog by visiting the T-Mobile Support web page.
This new build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 will possibly be the final KitKat release, as T-Mobile will soon be starting to work on implementing the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OS for their entire flagship devices like the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and last year’s Galaxy S4. Android 5.0 Lollipop will also be available for Galaxy Note 3 on T-Mobile, but that will most possibly happen in late Q1 of 2015.
N900TUVUDNK3 Android 4.4.4 OTA Update is rolled out in phases and it should arrive for all T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 devices before next month. However, note that this update will surely not be released for Note 3 devices that are running on custom ROMs.
If the update isn’t available via OTA in your region, then you can choose to look for updates by connecting the Galaxy Note 3 to your PC and then using KIES to install the firmware. In case you don’t want to use KIES, then you can always go to Settings> About Phone and use the ‘Software Update’ menu and see if there are any new firmware files ready for download.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Pricing: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint

Samsung has finally made the Galaxy Note Edge available in the United States, but it looks like it’s going to be a costly product to own. Currently, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 is going for just over $800 off-contract, but it’s starting to look like its new brother with a curved side display is going to be going for closer to $1,000, a hefty price tag for any smartphone. The device is going to be available through all four major U.S. carriers, those being AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint.
AT&T Note Edge
AT&T has already listed the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and it seems they’re offering the upcoming phablet for $945.99 off-contract. This appears to be the highest price out of all major US carriers, for the time being. Thankfully, if you’re willing to sign a two year contract, you’re able to use AT&T’s Next program in order to get the device for monthly payments of $31.54 on top of your phone bill for two years. If you’d like to pay for the device up front, you’ll be able to pick it up on a two year contract for $399.99.

T-Mobile Galaxy Note Edge

If you’d rather check out T-Mobile, they’re offering the device for a little bit less. Currently, the popular carrier is asking for $870 for the Note Edge, but if you can’t afford to pay that up front, there is an option for monthly installments over a two year time period. The device could be yours for the price of $36.25 per month, a little bit higher than AT&T’s monthly installments.

Sprint

Sprint appears to be offering the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge at a lower price than AT&T as well. The device is available for just $840 up front, meaning that Sprint is offering the phablet for the lowest price of all. They’re also offering a two year monthly payment plan, giving you the device for $35 per month. If you’d like to opt-in for a two year contract, you’re able to get the device for $429.99, which is more expensive than AT&T.

Verizon

While Verizon Wireless does not yet have the Galaxy Note Edge available on their website, we expect the device to be offered somewhere within the same price range as the other carriers have proposed. Currently, you’re able to enter your e-mail into their website, and they will let you know when the device will be available for pre-order.

Nexus 6 Available at T-Mobile with 32 or 64 GB Storage

Mid-October, when Android 5.0 Lollipop was officially announced, Google also introduced two new Nexus devices, the Nexus 9 and the Nexus 6. While the former device is already available for purchase for a couple of weeks now, the Nexus 6 has faced serious supply shortages since it debuted in Play Store and Motorola’s online store.
If you didn’t manage to get your hands on the Nexus 6, but you were planning to, we are glad to announce you that the Lollipop-powered phablet is now up for grabs at T-Mobile. Hopefully, the Magenta carrier will not face any inventory constraints, contrary to what a report that surfaced about a week ago was suggesting.
T-Mobile is offering the Nexus 6 with either 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, but the only color option available is Midnight Blue. The 32 GB model has an outright price of $649.92, while the 64 GB variant costs $699.89, prices similar to the ones in Google Play Store. T-Mobile is also offering the smartphone on-contract for $0 and 24 monthly installments of $27.08 or $29.16 depending which internal storage option you choose.
I remind you that Nexus 6 is one of the most powerful smartphones currently on the market. Besides running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, the smartphone boasts about a 6-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 resolutions and 493 ppi pixel density. Nexus 6 is underpinned by a Snapdragon 805 SoC with quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU paired with 3 GB of RAM, while integrating 32 or 64 GB of non-expandable storage. It arrives with a 3,220 mAh battery, has a 13 MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, dual-LED (ring) flash, and 4K video recording, a 2 MP secondary camera and it measures 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm. It’s compatible with Motorola’s Turbo Charger (promises 8 hours of usage after only 15 minutes of charging) which is included in the retail package.

Android 4.4.4 Update for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Now Available for T-Mobile Users

If you purchased the LTE-friendly Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 from T-Mobile, then you might want to keep an eye on the notifications bar. The Magenta carrier revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Android 4.4.4 update is now being pushed to users.
Since all the KitKat-specific goodies such as transparent status and nav bars, white status bar icons, color emoji support, new Location menu, cloud printing, immersive mode, or full screen album and movie art in the lock screen were patched in the Android 4.4.2 update for Note 10.1 2014, the Android 4.4.4 firmware only arrives with minor changes. According to the changelog posted on T-Mobile’s support page, the new update brings Download Booster and IPv6 updates. Even though you’re not dealing with a major update, I’m sure you would want to have it installed on your tablet.
Anyway, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Android 4.4.4 roll out was initiated November 12 and, as usual, it’s being pushed to users gradually. This means that some of you might not be able to download and install it right away. Once your device becomes eligible to receive the new firmware, you should be able to notice a system update message in the notifications panel. Tap on it then follow the on-screen instructions. In case the system update notification failed to appear, you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > General > About device > Software updates > Check for software updates. Alternatively, you can grab the USB cable, connect the tablet to the PC, and check for the update via KIES.
It’s also worth noting that the new Android 4.4.4 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 will update your baseband to version P607TUVUANJ4 and that the update file has a size of around 320 MB. We are recommending you to use a stable Wi-Fi network while downloading the update in order to avoid unwanted data charges.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date Teased

Samsung has a huge device on the way, the Galaxy S6, and it will be very important for the company’s future. The release date has been rumored since the initial announcement, and everyone took a guess at when it might be, but now we’ve received some hints.
According to Daum, a Korean publication, the Samsung Galaxy S6 may be launched in spring 2015, more particularly in March. This was expected, because Samsung is merely in pre-production stages for their Galaxy S6 right now. Little is known about the device, but according to most of the talk going around, Samsung is planning their Galaxy S6 device to be a total game changer in the tech industry, meant to compete with Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Among the changes that the tech giant has in store for the Galaxy S6 is a dual-curve display, like that of the Note Edge but on both sides. This could be a very interesting change, especially if they combine the proper OS features with it.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is codenamed as “Project Zero”
The Galaxy S6 is currently named ‘Project Zero’ and production is set to begin in February. A specific release date still hasn’t been given for the device. What we reporting today is mere speculation and should be treated as such. Things are always bound to change, maybe in a good way, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 tech specs are currently unconfirmed, but from what we know so far, the flagship is set to feature an upgraded display with a qHD resolution, 16/20MP primary shooter with Optical Image Stabilization, a 5MP secondary camera, 32/64/128GB variations of internal storage, 64-bit Exynos 7420 and Snapdragon 810 processors. The device is set to be released on all major US carriers, such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon.

Nexus 6 Release Date at Sprint Set for November 14

After Google introduced the Nexus 6 mid-October, T-Mobile was the first US carrier to announce they will have the in their portfolio. After AT&T announced earlier today they are now accepting pre-orders for the new Nexus phone, the folks Sprint have officially revealed the Nexus 6 release date.
Sprint announced in a press release that the new Nexus 6 will begin shipping on November 14. This means that the Sprint customers will be able to get their hands on the device before AT&T’s as the second biggest US carrier will start shipping the smartphone November 18.
For the time being, the Sprint didn’t reveal the on-contract price of the Nexus 6, but expect it to be priced around $200 – 250 with a two-year agreement. Anyway, the unlocked Sprint Nexus 6 will have a price tag of $696 for the 32 GB model, which makes it more expensive than both the Play Store and AT&T variants. You can also opt for an installment plan and you will be able to grab the smartphone for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $29.
Since there are Nexus 6 stock shortages in both Play Store and on Motorola’s website, the carriers are currently the most viable solution for the US customers. It seems that, just like AT&T, Sprint will only carry the 32 GB model with Midnight Blue color livery.
Hardware-wise Nexus 6 arrives with a 6-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 resolution and 493 ppi pixel density, while being underpinned by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC with quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. It’s also equipped with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, 3,220 mAh battery, and connectivity options such as LTE, NFC, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, and microUSB 2.0. It measures 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm, weighs in at 184 grams, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. On the back there’s a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus, optical image stabilization, dual-LED ring flash, and 4K video recording support. The user-facing camera has a 2 MP sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge: US Availability & Release

Certification tests are generally the first step towards releasing a device, and Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge just passed the FCC, confirming some rumors. With this step complete, we can expect the device to hit retail stores pretty soon, but pricing details are not known yet.
Samsung announced their Galaxy Note Edge device back in September, along with some other great devices. The gadget quickly became controversial due to its curved display, which had never been seen before on a smartphone. The curved display is supposed to be a feature of the Galaxy S6 also, except on both sides. It wasn’t far from the Note Edge’s announcement when tech enthusiasts quickly started talking about it, and the device’s popularity was boosted considerably.
Galaxy Note Edge coming to Sprint, T-mobile, US Cellular, Verizon & AT&T
Of course, the Galaxy Note Edge comes in multiple variations and some of them have already been released, with AT&T being the first retailer to feature the device ahead of its November 14th release date. The US retailer is currently accepting pre-orders, but it’s unknown when they will ship. Other carriers that are expected to put Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge in their inventory are Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon, but release dates are unknown and vary from carrier to carrier.

The FCC reports a certification test for a device known as SM-N915R4, aka Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. FCC tests are a primary requirement before a device can actually be released on American markets, and the Note Edge has just passed its certification test successfully. We know that the device is set to be released in multiple countries, such as the United Kingdom, Russia, India, Australia, Portugal, Nordic countries, France, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands. These countries are most likely going to get the Galaxy Note Edge in 2015, but there are no pricing details known at this point.

Nexus 6 Release Dates: New Information

Google’s Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 releases have been very slow so far, running into a lot of issues, mostly consisting of low stocks that can’t keep up with the huge demand. Fortunately, we’ve received some new information regarding the release of the Nexus 6, and more information is still emerging every day.
Google announced the Nexus 6 on October 15th, right after their Android 5.0 L release which has been the biggest one this year. Android is currently the market’s leading operating system, so any huge update to it is massive news. Taking this into consideration, we can see why the Nexus 6 demand is so high, because the Nexus line is always the first one to get any Android updates. So far, the Nexus 6 was released in some very select locations like Google’s Play Store, but stocks ran out within minutes, leaving customers empty-handed. Obviously, this was a disappointment, so everyone is trying to find out when the device will be released in other places too.
Nexus 6 release date to be Nov 12 for US carriers
US carriers are now announcing that the smartphone will soon be made available in their retail stores, and here we’re talking about Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Starting on November 12th, Google’s Nexus 6 should be available at these select carriers, and we’re hoping that the stocks will hold up. We’re also reminded that Black Friday is approaching, which is the ideal time of year to get a new gadget, especially if you’re on a budget. The only downside to Black Friday is that you have to be really quick, because stocks tend to run out in mere hours, even with huge inventories (tech companies generally tend to stock every retailer very well during Black Friday).
Verizon and U.S. Cellular have yet to confirm when the Nexus 6 will arrive in their retail stores, but that’ll most likely happen in December.
