The official
Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is being currently released for all the Galaxy Tab
4 8.0 LTE tablet device by T-Mobile. T337TUVU1BNK4 update is being released OTA
and through Samsung KIES software.
This new
update comes from Samsung and T-Mobile for the entire stock Galaxy tab 4 8.0
LTE devices. Check the notification panel of your device or use KIES to look
for new firmware files. Android 4.4.4 KitKat brings the latest tweaks and bug
fixes over the T337TUVU1BNI8 previous firmware.
The
T337TUVU1BNK4 Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update measures somewhere around 14.94 MB,
so you can even use the mobile data plan in order to download it. After the new
firmware arrives you only need to confirm the download and then your Galaxy Tab
4 LTE tablet will complete the entire process by itself.
Besides the
‘software stability’ there is no other change listed by T-Mobile in the Galaxy
Tab 4 8.0 LTE Android 4.4.4 Update changelog. However, you can test it and then use the
comments section to let us know in case you will find other major changes.
This build of
Android 4.4.4 update will probably be the final one, as T-Mobile should start
the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS integration for all premium Samsung tablets and
smartphones. The release of Android 5.0 OTA Update for Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE
should arrive sometime in early 2015, as currently Samsung has only updated their Galaxy s5
smartphone to Lollipop software. Up until the Android 5.0 update is
rolling out you can test the latest KitKat features.
Make sure
that before you confirm the installation of this new software update you will
charge the tablet, so that it won’t power down during the flashing process.
Also, if the OTA (over-the-air) update is not available, then you should use
the Samsung KIES to complete the installation. Note that you can install
official firmware update only if your device is currently sporting 100% stock
Android 4.4.x firmware, as Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE devices that are running custom
ROMs cannot be updated automatically using official channels.
