If you happen
to own a T-Mobile Galaxy S4, you would want to keep an eye on the notifications
panel. The Magenta carrier revealed on their support page that a
new Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 update is now being pushed to the
users.
Even though
we are dealing with a minor update, I am pretty sure you would want your
T-Mobile Galaxy S4 to run the latest Android software version. The roll out of
the new Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.4 begun December 8th and, as usual, the
new firmware is being pushed to users in stages. This means that some of you
might have to wait longer than others before being able to install the new
update on their devices.
You may know
already that once your Galaxy S4 becomes eligible to receive the new software
update, you should receive a system update message in the notifications bar.
All you need to do is tap on it, choose “Download now”, wait until the download
is completed, then select “Install now”. Your device should reboot and install
the new firmware. In case the software update notification failed to appear,
you would also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About phone
> Software update > Check for software updates. Alternatively, you can
grab the USB cable and check for the update via KIES.
According to
the changelog posted on T-Mobile’s support change, the new Android 4.4.4 update
for Samsung Galaxy S4 comes to add support for Chinese language. The update has
build number M919UVUFNK2 and even though the size is not mentioned
anywhere, we are advising you to use a stable Wi-Fi network while downloading
it. You know, just so you don’t damage your data plan.
