Samsung Galaxy Note 4: 10 Hidden Features



The latest Samsung phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 comes with such a long list of features that Samsung has had to make a new blog post on Samsung Tomorrow, wherein they list 10 hidden features most new owners might not even be aware of.
The Link Preview features lets you view URL links received via SMS or messenger applications without opening a web browser by using the S-Pen. To enable this function you would need to go to settings – S Pen – Air View and activate it.

Direct Pen Input for S Planner

You can enter a schedule by simply writing by hand with the S-Pen. The feature can be activated at Settings – S Pen – Direct Pen Input.

Note 4 Voice Recorder and Meeting Mode

Using the Meeting Mode, the Galaxy Note 4 can distinguish sounds coming from 8 directions when recording audio and indicates the direction from which the sound is coming when playing it back. You can also play back sounds from a particular direction.

Caller Information Display Feature

When you receive a call, you can have the Note 4 show detailed info about your last conversation with the caller. The feature can be activated in the dial app settings – Calls – Show Caller Information

Automatic Exposure and Focus Adjustment

The Galaxy Note 4 camera can adjust the exposure as well as focus when you long press on the screen that you want. The Auto Exposure (AE) feature makes its first appearance with the Note 4.

Anti-Shake Selfie using HRM Sensor

To take the perfect Selfie without any shakes, you can touch the HRM sensor on the back of the Note 4 to take a picture.

Sound Detector

If the user is listening to music through earphones, the Sound Detector function will warn them, via vibration of eye-catching light, when sounds like a doorbell or baby crying are heard.

Place Frequently Used “Settings” at “Quick-Settings”

You can place settings that you use frequently under quick settings by going to Settings and pushing the (+) button to add up to nine items in Quick Settings.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4: Wi-Fi Sharing

The Galaxy Note 4 allows you to connect to another device that is connected to Wi-Fi without requiring the password to be typed in. This can be done with the Quick Connect option in the Notification panel. When you see the other Galaxy Note 4 device in the list select “Share Wi-Fi” to start sharing.

One-Handed Operation

This is similar to the iPhone 6 Plus’ Display Zoom feature. The feature minimizes the whole screen to the bottom portion of the display. You can also adjust it further to suit your hand.
To enable it go to Settings – Display and Wallpaper- One Handed Operation – Reduce Screen size.
