Google Nexus 6, Nexus 9: Pricing & Availability Update [US/UK]



Google’s 2014 Nexus range is definitely the most impressive ever. Both of the new Nexus devices come with next-generation hardware, and debut with the biggest Android release in recent times – Android 5.0 Lollipop. The pair of them will be going on sale in a lot of markets by the end of this month. Here’s a rundown on the availability and pricing of both devices in various markets.

Nexus 6 Availability & Pricing

The 5.96” Quad-HD display Google Nexus 6isn’t just the best smartphone Google has to offer, but one of the best Android smartphones overall right now, with a great combination of software and hardware on offer. The pre-orders for the Nexus 6 went live in the United States this past week, priced at $649 for the base 32GB variant, while the higher capacity 64GB variant costs $699. The device will be available through all major US carriers – Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, as well as US Cellular. Contract pricing for the device is expected to be $199 with a 2-year contract. Retailers like Best Buy and Walmart will also stock the phablet at a later date.
International carriers that have confirmed that they will be offering the Nexus 6 include – Bell, Rogers, Telus, Telcel, Vodafone, CPW, Hutch, SFR, Electronic Partner, MSH, Orange ES, Vodafone ES, Vodafone IT, Vodafone NL, Optus, and Claro. Prices in the UK are expected to start from around £460. The Nexus 6 will be available in these markets by December.

Nexus 9 Pricing & Availability


The 64-bit capable Nexus 9 tablet is already available for sale via the Google Play store in the US, the UK, and Australia. The 16GB Wi-Fi model is currently selling for $399, £319, and AU$479 respectively in these markets, while the 32GB Wi-Fi model has been priced at $479, £399, and AU$589 respectively. The 32GB LTE model isn’t yet available, but is expected to arrive in stock soon, albeit in limited numbers. In the US market, the Nexus 9 is available from all major retailers like Best Buy, as well as major online retailers. It is expected to arrive soon in a few other markets including India.
