The
Snapdragon-based Galaxy Note 4 with SM – N910F model number has started to
receive the official Android 5.0 Lollipop Update. The new firmware has been spotted
in Germany and it is currently being rolled out through Samsung KIES, while the
OTA (over-the-air) Update should be pushed out sometime next week.
This update
comes only a few days after the Exynos Note 4 phones in Poland and South Korea have
been bumped to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. If you’re based in one of the countries
and you own an Exynos or Snapdragon device, then you should be on the lookout
for new Lollipop Update notifications.
The new
Android 5.0 Lollipop Update brings multiple new features and functions for the
Snapdragon Galaxy Note 4 International model. The Material Design UI is the
biggest change you’ll see after you complete the update process, as it is much
smoother then the KitKat interface. Also, the TouchWiz software has been greatly
improved and you will be getting much faster times when it comes to opening
apps and various memory hungry games.
With Android
5.0 Lollipop your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910F will get the following new
features: Android Runtime (ART) technology instead of the old Dalvik, Smart
Lock, Intelligent Notifications ranking, Priority Mode, lock screen
notifications control, native Battery Saving Mode, Device Sharing capabilities
like Screen Pinning and Guest User, Multiple users support, new Quick Settings
toggles, improved security, BLE peripheral mode, and more. There are
thousands of great functions present in Lollipop that you will find only after
testing the new OS on your computer.
As I’ve told
you above you can update your can install this update if you’re in Germany
through Samsung Kies. Connect your smartphone to your PC, launch KIES and then
wait for the application to notify you in case there are any new Android 5.0
Lollipop firmware files available for download.
