Nexus 6 was one of the most
anticipated smartphones of the second half of the year. Google officially
introduced it to the public mid-October synchronized with Android 5.0
Lollipop announcement, but, for the time being, the new Nexus phone is not
available for purchase.
All major US carriers have
already announced they will feature the Nexus 6 in their line-up and now we are
glad to announce you that AT&T is accepting pre-orders for the device. The
second biggest carrier in the US estimates that the first pre-orders will be
fulfilled November 18th.
AT&T is selling the Nexus 6
in Midnight Blue body liver and, for the time being, only the 32 GB model is
available for pre-order. The device has a price of $249.99 with a two-year
contract, but you can also grab it at $682.99 no-strings attached. It’s
also available with AT&T’s Next payment plans starting at $22.77 per
month for 24 months. Here’s a link to AT&T’s
pre-order page.
I remind you that that the
Motorola-made Nexus 6 is one of the most powerful smartphones currently on
the market. It arrives with a 5.96-inch AMOLED display with an impressive Quad
HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and a pixel density of 493 ppi, while being
underpinned by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 805 chipset with
quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 460 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. The smartphone also integrates
3 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of native storage, and all the connectivity features
worthy of a modern smartphone including LTE, Wi-Fi ac, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 Low
Energy, and microUSB 2.0. It has a rear-mounded 13 MP camera with optical image
stabilization, dual-LED ring flash, and 4K video recording capabilities, plus a
user-facing 2 MP camera, and a 3,220 mAh battery. Because it has
to accommodate an almost 6-inch screen, Nexus 6 is 159.3 mm tall, 83 mm
wide, and 10.1 mm thin, while weighing in at 184 grams. Of course, it comes
pre-loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
