Youtube 5.18.5 Update with Support for 1440p Videos Now Available for Download

A while back, the folks at Google introduced support for changing video quality for the YouTube Android app. For some reason, YouTube didn’t have support for videos in 1440p on mobile devices, but the latest update is here to address that.
After you update your YouTube app to version 5.18.5 you will be able to enjoy 1440p videos on your Quad HD smartphone. You may know already that the QHD smartphones are a thing now, with LG G3, Galaxy Note 4, and Nexus 6 probably being the most popular such smartphones. In order to change video quality in the Youtube app, you will have to press the three-dotted-menu in the upper right corner of the app, tap Quality, then choose the resolution you want the video to be played at. Of course, this feature is only available for the videos that are recorded at 1440p or over and only for devices with Quad HD resolution or above.
The Youtube 5.18.5 is already being pushed to users. You can check whether the update is available for your device in the Play Store app, under My Apps > Installed. Hit this link to check out Youtube in Google Play Store.

Nexus 6: Price Revealed on Google Play Store

With the Google Nexus 6 passing its certification tests at the FCC, it has finally appeared in the Google Play Store. Some were hoping to get a little discount than the prices listed by carriers, but so far, it seems it will cost the same across the board.
Google Nexus 6 is priced at $649
Google recently published the Nexus 6 in the Google Play Store with almost all of its details listed. The latest smartphone from Google will be available in midnight blue and cloud white. Pre-orders start on October 29th. The Nexus 6 is available in 32GB and 64GB variants and priced at $649.00 and $699.00 respectively. The listing goes on to talk about the device in various ways, like how comfortable it is in the hand and how you can listen to audio in full stereo with front-facing speakers. You’ll have to scroll all the way to the bottom if you want to see the entire spec sheet.
