Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was supposed to be released on October
23rd, but Verizon pleasantly surprised its customers by shipping the
device a day earlier. The tech magnate’s device was announced back in September
and has since then stirred up a lot of hype among many tech enthusiasts due to
its high-tier specs.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders begin shipping out
Shortly after the
South Korean tech giant announced its Galaxy Note 4 last month, most US carriers announced
their release dates for it, or at least hinted at them, with Verizon aiming for
an October 23rd release date. The Samsung
Galaxy Note 4
was meant to be a primary competitor for Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices, following a long trial between the two companies which was won by
Samsung.
Verizon accepted
pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 4 weeks after its initial announcement,
but what’s important to mention here is that the American carrier never
actually confirmed a particular release date but merely hinted at a few
possibilities. Verizon started shipping out pre-orders yesterday, so
naturally customers were surprised. Nobody really expected such an early shipping date. Currently, the Galaxy Note 4 is priced
at $662.53 USD off-contract which is cheaper than the regular price set for the
same device ($699).
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is currently one of the most costly
devices in the tech industry right now, but that’s not such a big surprise
considering its amazing hardware. Samsung’s latest flagship sports a
5.7-inch 1440 x 2560 pixel display, a 16MP primary camera, a 1.9GHz
8-core ARM Cortex-A57 chipset, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native
storage, expandable using an external microSD card.
The device’s
official release date is still shrouded in mystery, but it’s probably not going
to be much longer until US carriers release it. If you’re looking for good
deals, the best one you can get right now is the $200 trade-in deal which applies to the Galaxy Note 4,
provided you exchange an older smartphone first. This offer applies to the
pre-order and cuts off a significant chunk of the phone’s steep price tag.
